Joel Valma Stephens was first child of Marylee Inice Nickens and Joel Jesse Stephens. He was born 16 Sep, 1915 at Red River Parish, La. On 08 Jun, 1940 Joel married Margie Louise Penton. She was born 19 Jan, 1923 at Hammond, Tangipahoa Parish, La. She is the daughter of Leonard W. Penton and Sarah Malvina Smith. Joel Valma died 28 Jan, 1999 and is buried at Roselawn Cemetery,Baton Rouge, La. Margie is living.
