James Thomas "Jim" Nickens was the fifth child of Newman Carroll Nickens and Lydia Lodelia Singletary. He was born 29 Jun, 1924 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. Jim married Nora Dean LeBlanc 22Jul, 1944, location unavailable. She was born 25 Mar, 1925 at Kenner, Jefferson Parish, La. Nora was the daughter of Telesphores Edmond LeBlanc and Felicia Parent. Nora Dean died 26 Jan, 1987 at Little Rock, Pulaski County, Ark. She is buried in Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery, Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. After Nora’s death, Jim remarried to Elsie Moore Little, 28 Dec, 1991 at Prairieville, Ascension Parish, La. She was the daughter of Ehlert John Moore and Mary Ellen Threeton. Elsie died 15 Mar, 2013. Entombment is in Hopehaven Mausoleum, Gonzales, Ascension Parish, La. Jim is living.
