Verna Evelyn Nickens was the third child of Newman Carroll Nickens and Lydia Lodelia Singletary. She was born 14 Jan, 1922 at Brignac, Ascension Parish, La. Verna married Raymond William "Mac" McGuire 08 Jan, 1946. Mac was born 23 Dec, 1910 at Little Rock, Pulaski County, Ark. He was the son of Thomas Redrick Mcguire and Nettie Eoline Allday. Mac died 19 Jan, 1998 at Little Rock, Ark. He is buried in Roselawn Cemetery, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Ark. Verna is living.
