Donnell Jerome "Nick" Nickens was the only child of Donnie Wessie Nickens and Vadis Mae Dixon. He was born Jan, 1942 at Prairieville, Ascension Parish, La. Donnell married Lila Lee Dixon, 08 Oct, 1960 at Mt Zion Baptist Church, Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. She was born May, 1942 at Galvez, Ascension Parish, La. She is the daughter of Howard L. Dixon and Lucille Roddy. Donnell retired from the U.S Navy after serving 20 years. Donnell and Lila are living.
